Some presets will work if they are using features present on both amps. The recent 2.X firmware on the Line 6 Catalyst uses MIDI settings similar to those of the CX. There are some limitations:
- Only the 6 amp models on the regular Catalyst will work.
- Delay, modulation or pitch effects must be in effect 1.
- Reverb effect must be in effect 2.
